Carmine's Seattle: Enhancing the Dining Experience

Creating a seamless blend of audio, lighting, networking, and control systems that support the warm, elevated atmosphere guests have come to expect from Carmine's.

Project Background

When Carmine's expanded into Seattle with its newest location, the goal was clear: create a dining experience that reflects the restaurant's reputation for exceptional hospitality, amazing food, timeless design, and memorable guest experiences.

The new location was designed to accommodate a wide range of dining occasions- from intimate dinners and celebrations to corporate events and private gatherings. Ownership envisioned a space that could adapt to different uses while maintaining the warm, sophisticated atmosphere that guests associate with the Carmine's brand.

To achieve that vision, the ownership team partnered with Goudy Construction and Wipliance to design and implement technology solutions that would elevate the ambiance, simplify operations, and remain virtually invisible to guests.

The Challenge

A restaurant's atmosphere is carefully crafted through hundreds of details. Music must be present without overwhelming conversation. Lighting needs to evolve throughout the day while maintaining consistency. Technology must support operations without distracting from the design that guests came to enjoy.

For Carmine's Seattle, another important consideration was flexibility. The restaurant features a large private dining area that can be configured in multiple ways using custom barn doors, allowing the space to accommodate everything from intimate gatherings to larger events. The technology needed to adapt just as seamlessly as the architecture itself.

The Goals

  • Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that supports the Carmine's dining experience
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality audio throughout the dining room, bar, and private dining spaces
  • Provide flexible AV solutions that adapt to multiple private dining room configurations
  • Allow staff to easily manage audiovisual
  • Integrate display technology that remains discreet when not in use
  • Support private events, presentations, and special gatherings without requiring additional setup
  • Deliver reliable networking infrastructure that supports restaurant operations and future growth
  • Ensure every technology solution enhances the guest experience while remaining virtually invisible

Our Approach

Designing for Hospitality First

Working closely with the Carmine's team, we designed a system that balances performance, flexibility, reliability, and simplicity.

Distributed audio zones were strategically engineered throughout the restaurant, including the private dining spaces, allowing staff to tailor the environment based on how the space is configured. Combined with the restaurant's movable barn door system, the technology supports multiple room layouts and event formats without sacrificing sound quality or ease of operation.

To preserve the refined interior design, Wipliance installed multiple Samsung Frame TVs paired with custom Electric Mirror front plates. When not in use, the displays blend seamlessly into the surrounding décor, maintaining the restaurant's sophisticated atmosphere while remaining readily available for private events, presentations, and guest entertainment.

Behind the scenes, a robust network infrastructure supports restaurant operations and provides a reliable foundation for future growth. Centralized controls allow management to make adjustments quickly without requiring technical expertise, ensuring the focus remains on hospitality.

A note from our team:

"The Carmine's family has created something special in the Pacific Northwest hospitality community. We saw our role as helping preserve and elevate that experience through technology that feels effortless, adapts to every occasion, and enhances the atmosphere without ever becoming the focus."
