Explore Custom Smart Home Solutions in Our Latest Video Showcase
Wipliance’s Lee Travis is back to walk you through another one of our smart home projects! This time, we’re at our Driftwood Cove project, a waterfront residence in Gig Harbor, WA, where the top priority was blending technology with the beautiful nature surrounding the property. This home features a Control4 automation system that allows for the ultimate ease of use from iPads, elegant on-wall keypads, or mobile apps.
Check out the unique ways we integrated smart technology to deliver great comfort, entertainment, and peace of mind to our clients.

Reducing Wall Clutter
In a residence as large as this one, it’s easy to end up with big banks of switches on the wall. We replaced those with elegant on-wall keypads from Lutron with easy one-touch buttons to set the mood or turn off all lights at the end of the day.
Overcoming Shading Challenges
The home included tall, angled windows to fill the space with natural light. Adding shades to these was a challenge, but we installed custom motorized shades that rise from the bottom up to the angled corners. In the bedroom, where the client wanted a sleek look, we added Lutron’s luxury Palladiom shades that best matched their modern aesthetic.
Media Room Display
The client wanted a display that could be seen from anywhere in the main living area. Such a large space required a display bigger than a regular TV. So, we created a video matrix wall and incorporated Leon side-flanking speakers and a hidden subwoofer. That way, everyone enjoyed the same high-quality audio and video from anywhere.
