When you consider the word colorscaping, what comes to mind? This carefully crafted word contains all the main elements behind its meaning: color and landscaping. WAC Colorscaping is a smart lighting system that transforms your outdoor space with vibrant and stunning illumination. 

High-performance LED lights that range in color temperatures from 2700K to 6500K give you access to the full-color spectrum or millions of colors of lights. Each fixture can be adjusted in brightness and color or grouped together to control all the fixtures in an area simultaneously.

Working with Lutron, Wipliance was honored with the opportunity to bring the lighting for this historic home into the 21st century.

So, on July 25th, we gave them an exclusive, behind-the-scenes sneak peek at our new design center. And we’re happy to say that with an almost 80% percent RSVP rate, it was quite a success! Moreover, the system is integrated with other smart home features, allowing it to work harmoniously with climate control, security, and entertainment systems. For example, lights can be set to turn on automatically when the security system is disarmed or to dim when the home theater is activated.

Remote Monitoring and Control 

Since this is not the client’s primary residence, remote control was one of the top priorities. Most important was remote access to let in contractors or guests and surveillance to check in on the home anytime. As with most second homes, the client wanted seamless control to be able to jump in and enjoy their stay immediately.  

Lighting Design

We also significantly improved the client’s lighting design. First, we retrofitted LED bulbs to the ceiling for a more modern aesthetic. Then, we focused on adding layers, primarily through the use of linear lighting. This lighting helped to highlight certain features—like coves and the wine fridge—and added functionality with fixtures above cabinets and under the bathroom’s vanity mirror.
