At Wipliance, we pride ourselves on providing our clients with the latest technology in home automation for effortless management and increased enjoyment of their homes. That’s one of the reasons we partner with Control4, the leader in home automation.
As a Control4 Diamond Dealer, we’ve witnessed their continual commitment to enhancing their technology, providing user-friendly, customized devices that make life easier. Once again, they’ve risen to the occasion with their new Control4 Halo Remotes.
Let’s explore their latest upgrade and what it offers Control4 smart homes in Bellevue, WA, and the surrounding areas.

Control4 smart homes offer intuitive, one-touch control of lighting, climate, entertainment, security, and more. Homeowners use touchscreens, in-wall keypads, mobile devices, and handheld remotes to manage and interact with their homes.
Control4’s new remotes, The Halo and Halo Touch, control lights, shades, audio and video equipment, temperature, and more. The latest technology improves the smart universal remote experience with a full suite of backlit buttons and an innovative voice button.
The Halo is equipped with a 2.8-inch screen, while the Halo Touch comes with a 3.2-inch customizable touchscreen and features a premium brushed aluminum chassis. Users can easily select and control smart devices through these touchpads.
Just three years ago, the Neeo remote came out. Since then, Control4 listened to industry partners and used their “out-in-the-field” experiences to deliver a better experience on the Halo and Halo Touch remotes. One of the latest features is a new, enhanced graphical interface with a color screen. It offers quick access to your Favorites as well as a lock screen to limit accidental button presses.
The backlit buttons make it easy to use in the dark, and the custom hard buttons include digital labels for easy identification. A Color Shortcut Button offers quick access to AV devices and personalized automated scenes. If the remote's asleep, a simple button press will wake Halo, which will then execute the command.
These next-generation remotes provide a new push-to-talk voice button. An embedded microphone captures the voice command and, using proprietary technology, routes it to the right voice server. The voice button currently functions as an Xfinity voice remote for Xfinity boxes and a Siri remote for Apple TVs. Plans are in place for integrating Josh.ai.
The company also increased its Wi-Fi strength, which is now 3 to 5 times stronger than Neeo and supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The battery life has also been extended thanks to an ultra-lower power processor. Another addition users are happy to hear about is the “Find Remote” function, enabling users to locate their lost remote via a voice command, mobile device, or Control4 Touchscreen.
Once again, Control4 has elevated the smart living experience. The Halo is expected to hit the market in Q4 2022, and the Halo Touch should be arriving in Q1 2023.
